Kyle and Lindsay's Anniversary + My first blog post

I actually got a blog.... I must admit it, Folks, this girl isn't much of a blogger. Maybe it is just because I've never noticed the importance of keeping up with a blog, but I have done my research and have found that I am actually drawn into readind fellow photographers blogs. My curiousity got the best of me, and here I am. . . blogging. I must say, I am pretty excited to keep up with this :-)

This past week I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my brother and his wife for their first anniversary. You might ask: Why would anyone get anniversary pictures? My answer is: Why not? About two months ago I was talking to Lindsay, my sister-in-law, about how I really want to do an anniversary shoot and advertise it. Luckily for me, Lindsay was ALL for it. My brother.. well he's a guy so he had to go along with it. Love you, Kyle. On Monday evening we drove to the Carl House in Winder, GA to get a few shots of them in front of the wedding venue where they exchanged their vows. Lindsay and I were dying to do more portraits in Madison, GA where there were plenty of old buildings and history. Madison and Winder are an hour apart and we only had an hour until sunset. As we were racing the sun driving down Hwy 78, I was getting nervous about missing the light. Long story short, we made it with minutes to spare. Somehow we were able to succeed a full session in under 25 minutes.

As we arrived, Lindsay had already touched up her lipgloss and brushed her hair so we jumped right out of the car and neither of us stopped for a second to breath. I know some poses might have been "akward" for my brother, since his sister is the one photographing them, but he got over it since we had to remind him to think of me as his photographer and not his sister. Thanks for being a champ ;-) Here is a little sneak peak of the session!
